Using Bookfaced

While using the site, you will not:

• compromise, interfere with, or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the site or its users
• attempt to collect information about users (email addresses or other account information)
• take actions that compromise the feedback or ranking systems
• post false or misleading content; you must have ownership and possession of listed items
• alter the price of an item once posted
• disregard or attempt to alter fees owed or the billing process
• fail to deliver items purchased from you, unless the buyer fails to meet the agreed upon terms, or you cannot validate the buyer’s identity

Fees

Membership to Bookfaced is free, and there are no fees for listing items on the site. Fees exist as a percentage of an item’s selling price, and will be collected automatically when a listed item is purchased. All monetary amounts are quoted in US Dollars.

Content

Images of items posted on the site will draw from a database of book covers. The image you see should be thought of as a ‘stock photo’ for that particular item. Therefore, you acknowledge that the image of a particular item is not representative of that particular item’s physical condition. The condition of the item will be provided by the seller in the appropriate fields.

Liability

You acknowledge that Bookfaced will not be held responsible for the actions or inactions of its users. We are not liable for any loss of money or consequences that result from use of the site. We cannot guarantee the condition of listed items, the truth or precision of listing descriptions, or that a buyer and seller will actually complete a transaction. We cannot guarantee or be held responsible for a seller’s ability to deliver the purchased item(s), however we do offer buyers a 100% money back guarantee to preserve financial wellbeing and protect the purchasing experience (*Note that the money back guarantee exists for a limited time during a transaction. After the physical exchange of a purchased item takes place, the money back guarantee expires). We cannot be held responsible for the transfer of legal ownership from the seller to the buyer.

Release/ Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute with another user or users, you release us (Bookfaced) from claims, demands, and damages of every kind that result from the dispute. You agree to indemnify us from any legal claim or demand arising from a breach of this Agreement. If a dispute arises between you and Bookfaced, we strongly encourage you to contact us directly to seek a resolution. We will make our best attempt to resolve the dispute.

At any time this User Agreement may be amended. Amended terms take effect 14 days after they are posted on the site. Please contact us via email if you have any questions.
